PARTS COORDINATOR

POSITION AVAILABLE

FULL TIME.

Our busy workshop is looking for a Part’s Coordinator. Surrounded by a friendly team of like-minded individuals, the successful candidate will be working alongside our Workshop Foreman, with weekly tasks including ordering and tracking parts, collecting parts from town, inventory recording and stocktake using our digital data base.

About us:
We’re a family-owned and operated farming and contracting enterprise, specialising in professional harvest, tillage and sowing services. Based in Mingay Victoria, we are 1 hour from Ballarat, 1.5 hours from Geelong and 2 hours from Melbourne. This position would be ideal for someone or a family desiring a quieter lifestyle away from the urban rush, without sacrificing accessibility to key city centres. We service our machinery in our own workshop with inhouse mechanics. We are a loyal business who has built long-term relationships with our clients and suppliers, providing ample opportunities for our Parts Coordinator to build and grow these solid relationships. Our team is built off great culture and a very supportive environment, ensuring this role will be heavily supported by our whole team.

Who we’re looking for:

An individual who is self-motivated, organised, approachable and willing to take accountability for this role. Knowledge about broadacre cropping or machinery isn’t necessary, nor is having experience in a similar role. To be considered for the position, the applicant will have:

  • Strong organisational skills to ensure day-to-day running of our parts is efficient and traceable.
  • Basic computer skills to track budgets, invoices, excel spreadsheets etc.
  • Great communication skills to speak with suppliers over the phone.
  • Flexibility during our peak periods (October – January & April – May) to collect urgent parts out of hours, if required.

What the job entails:

The successful candidate will be responsible for everything and anything to do with our parts, including:

  • Ordering parts based off provided pre-season lists and requests from team leaders & managers. Most of our suppliers are in Ballarat!
  • Returning parts that we may have been supplied incorrectly and keeping track of refunds entering our bank account.
  • Retrieving parts – majority of our suppliers are within a 100km radius of Mingay. We usually do a parts run twice per week, sometimes more if urgent parts are required to keep our workshop running efficiently.
  • During peak seasons, transporting parts to paddocks locally (approx. 100km radius)
  • Regular stocktake of parts, especially before each season, ensuring parts are ordered ahead of time and quantities stay above our set quotas.
  • Keeping our parts system organised in our workshop and parts trailer, using our digital system with barcode tracking etc.
  • Regular market research giving us confidence that we are receiving competitive pricing

Remuneration Package:

Salary to be discussed based on experience.

Accommodation and/or Company Vehicle provided, based on applicant and current location.
