Bingham Agriculture is the leading company in Australia for supplying contract harvesting, seeding and tillage services. We provide a reliable and trustworthy service to a customer base across Australia’s eastern seaboard.

Bingham Agriculture is seeking self-motivated and driven individuals to join their team who travel throughout southern Queensland, NSW, Northern Victoria before returning to home base located in Western Victoria. Our Harvest season generally commences mid-late October until late January. It is expected the individual will travel with our crew for approximately 8 weeks up north before returning home.

The role of Machinery Operator is to provide a professional service to our client base in an array of operations over a vast area of the eastern states.

Position will involve but not be limited to:

The operation of specialised harvest, sowing & tillage equipment

Travelling/working in a team environment – approximately 8 weeks harvesting north

Ensure daily prestart checks are conducted and completed to standard prior to operation

Maintain an allocated machine to our set standards

Communicate with clients/other staff members clearly over phone/two way & in person

Embrace a safe working culture

Conduct machinery pre-seasons in our workshop and maintain machinery when in the field

Maintain the work area in a clean and tidy manner

Other general duties when required

Essential requirements:

Previous experience operating headers

A car license is essential unless under the age of 18

Great communications skills verbally

Ability to learn from others

Excellent attention to detail

Be adaptable to working in a fast-paced environment that adapts daily to seasonal conditions

Be a team player

Perform all duties within safety policies and operational procedures

Have flexibility regarding operating hours which includes weekend work in peak season
